Being a Priestess
opens up doors to see the worlds that were once
and are now lost and only exist in our dreams
We heal the body & soul,
we listen to the voice of the earth
we see all that has been and what will be
no matter the fear
we are your strength ...
From the Beginning
When I started my journey, in what i now believe was to find my inner priestess, like so many others when we hear the calling or there is a shift inside ... It feels like a little tug to start looking for something more ..
curiously some of us find ourselves dipping our toes into the wicca faith if only for a heartbeat
not necessarily because we want to conjure up spells although most of us have the innate ability to do so , nor do we want to belong to a coven or dress in all black, however i know i have entertained the idea of dancing naked under the full moon a time or two
most of us Have Not &
do not ...
I often wondered if it was the earthy grounded essence of wicca that drew me or the respect of all things living in connection, maybe it was the idea of honoring the Divine Feminine that filled the need in my spirit at that particular time on my path , it might have been that wicca held a whisper of a memory, a thread to an ancient belief system that has long been forgotten, however I found that although wicca embodied a lot of things i enjoyed, i was not always good at celebrating the different seasons with ceremonies or using tools of the craft or casting circles , I was not very interested in rituals created by other people , The written tradition was not my strong suit .
Everything that had been written left me feeling like I was missing something so important like a secret just out of reach it just didnt settle and take hold, However I did love and somewhat embraced the solitary aspects of the wild unconventional ways of what is lovingly called hedge witching
the practice of using herbs, flowers, plants , oils
and that wonderful thing called magick ,that thing we all secretly wish for ..but are not allowed to believe in ...
But you see, I did.. I believed in it... and i started to weave delicate, subtle fibers of it in everything i touched, solely for the well being and harmony of my home and family .. and for those I loved,

further let me just add Wicca, Witchcraft and Paganism have all been mis represented throughout history and although more acceptable today there is still some fear and sadly very misunderstood, i have always thought if we could just look past its taboo and shadow we might find a bit of truth that has been lost,
Hesgewithch :A Hedge Witch is a solitary practitioner of the herbal arts - both, medicinal and spiritual.
A Hedge Witch does not belong to a coven. She does not follow the tenets of any sect or organized religion. Her craft is her own - usually handed down to her by family and honed by her own experience and research.
